Cooperstown Tennis - Youth Volunteer Community Tennis Coach
The Cooperstown Tennis Youth Volunteer Community Tennis Coach is a competitive community service tennis coaching job for young people. Cooperstown Tennis is a not-for-profit that reaches out to the youth of Otsego County in rural, upstate New York. Our goals are to instill positive values, promote emotional and physical good health, and encourage sportsmanship and to give back to the community through the sport of tennis. Youth coaches must be role models and leaders at school and in the community. Our young participants will look at them as mentors. Participant Ages: Between 13 and 18 as of June 30th. * Volunteer youth coaches will have the opportunity to work with children with disabilities. They will be coaching children of all ages and abilities. Dates and requirements: Volunteer Youth Coaches are expected to work a minimum of 1 hour per day, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, for two consecutive weeks during the June to August 2017 period. They are encouraged to volunteer for more than two weeks if possible. Successful volunteer youth coaches will be provided a letter detailing their volunteer service hours.
